Patient outcomes can be greatly improved with access to specialist doctors, relevant support services and awareness of treatment options. The RCA KnowledgeBase is an invaluable collection of resources specific to the needs of those diagnosed with rare or less common cancers. It houses a rare cancer directory, lists of hospitals that have cancer centres, multi-disciplinary teams and clinicians with specialist knowledge of particular rare cancer types, bringing information together in one place for patients, carers and loved ones. The KnowledgeBase also provides information on clinical trials that may provide treatment options not readily available for rare or less common cancer patients
