Very often when we encounter a family in a camp and ask about what they need the most, their answer would indicate that their ultimate wish is to get out of the camp and move into a home.
$300 can make this wish come true. With a one-time donation of this amount, you can relocate a displaced family and literally transform their life and make a several years old dream come true for them.
By the finalization of the project, each beneficiary family receives a housing unit make up of two rooms, a kitchenette, and a toilet, at a cost of $750. As of today (November 2021), 472 housing units have been completed and beneficiaries are already living with their families in the new rooms.
The project provides decent housing for displaced families who currently live in camps, in a way that respects their humanity and dignity while still costing as much as a tent or even less. The project provides a quick construction-based solution: Block walls, cement grounds, isolated ceiling and relevant healthcare facilities and services. Implementation is planned for as many housing units as possible within a short time-frame, so that we can house as many families as possible within the shortest time.
The project provides housing units with different designs and sizes to fit families of varying sizes. The current housing unit models are: (A 6 meter x 4 meter housing unit: One unit with facilities, for a small family of up to 4 members, and 8 meter x 4 meter: Two units with facilities, for a family of +4 members)
