Children's Aid Society

Founded in 1902, Children’s Aid Society (CAS) is one of the oldest secular philanthropic organisations in Singapore. For over a century, CAS, through its service Melrose Home, has been home to more than 6,000 children and youths, providing a safe environment for abused, abandoned and neglected individuals. With round-the-clock care and support, the residents are provided with a safe space to form safe relationships, as well as opportunities to build their resilience through our programmes and heal through emotional and psychological therapy. 

 In 2019, Melrose Care was set up as a community-based agency to offer subsidised therapeutic services to more families in the community. Today, Melrose Care offers specialised therapies such as Art Therapy, Play Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, serving an average of 200 children, youths and their families in the community at any one time.
