CREATE PURPOSE WORLDWIDE

At Create Purpose Worldwide, we apply the methodology of STEAM using Project-Based learning principles within Tijuana orphanages. This approach teaches children life skills that help them overcome poverty and pursue their purpose in life. The STEAM education model, which incorporates art and design in order to give the children the best chance of job success after they leave the orphanage. This model also creatively engages the children and gives them purpose with the goal of increasing the likelihood that they will stay in the Children’s Centers until they are 18 years old.

Our organization has two main programs, the Garden-Based Learning Program and the Technology Program. The arden-Based Learning Program will both provide kids the nutrients they need and teach them which nutrients and vegetables they need to be successful in life. This program gives the kids a practical skill they can utilize their entire life to determine their health and success. The Technology Program teaches the kids basic principles of coding computers through engaging games and activities.

Currently we serve 2 orphanages Casa Hogar de la Esperanza and Casa Hogar Maria Inmaculada. At each home we offer a different program and monitor their success. We gain feedback from the children and the staff, and conduct periodic evaluations at each of the Centers. We are working with a control group at a third Center, Casa Hogar de la Gloria. Depending on the information we receive from evaluations, we hope to improve each of the programs and then introduce these improvements to the other Children Centers for abandoned and orphaned children.
