New York SCORES inspires youth to lead healthy lives, be engaged students, and have the confidence and character to make a difference in the world.

The SCORES Network was started in 1994 by a public-school teacher in Washington, D.C. and is a national organization serving over 20,000 students.

New York SCORES was founded in 2001 to address the absence of high-quality after-school programs for public schools in NYC communities. Deploying a unique blend of soccer, poetry and service-learning, we train Coach-Mentors to help shine a spotlight on our Poet-Athletes.
