BERRYESSA EDUCATION FOUNDATION
San Jose, CaliforniaThe mission of Berryessa Education Foundation is to increase student learning by making grants available to district teachers. The focus of those grants will be on expanding the opportunities for student learning through improved instructional strategies based on the creative use of technology and other instructional materials.
The Foundation provides grants to Berryessa Elementary Union School District
classroom teachers. The grants are used to enhance student learning using current technology and up - to - date materials needed to meet the Core Standards.
The foundation was formed in 1992 as a non-profit 501 (c) (3) corporation under the leadership of then San Jose Mayor, Chuck Reed. Since then, BEF has contributed over $300,000 to teachers in Berryessa Union School District to support new, and creative approaches and opportunities for student success.
