About this Giving Opportunity
On average, 1,000 orphans are sharing less than 100 computers. Only the really lucky orphanages have computers and dozens of children have to fight to use them.
By not having access to technology, they’re disconnected from education and all the opportunities in the outside world and are at a serious disadvantage.
Created Purpose is a nonprofit that creates opportunities for orphan children and young adults. Their innovative programs and mentors help vulnerable children acquire the skills needed to succeed/find a job after they are forced to leave their orphanage at the age of 18.
The vast majority of these orphan young adults end up in the same cycle from which their parents came - on the streets, in jail, on drugs, prostitution, pregnant at an early age, or a sad combination of all of these.
We can help break that cycle through access to education and technology.
By donating here, you are giving orphan children access to equal learning and job opportunities as any other child in a “normal" household.
Every $1,000 raised ensures one more computer for them, that will set them up for Opportunities far beyond the walls of the orphanage.
Every dollar counts and also ensures that they have qualified teachers, curriculum, regular evaluations, etc
