LinkedIn Rounders Charity Fundraiser
About this Giving Opportunity
£2,750.33
Donated of £2,000.00On the 29th July this year my hometown of Southport experienced one of the worst days the UK has seen for some time where multiple girls including 2 teachers were subject to a knife attack at a Taylor Swift dance class, which unfortunately resulted in the deaths of 3 little girls (Alice 9, Bebe 6, and Elsie 7) and hospitalising 6 others in critical condition with multiple stab wounds.
The 6 girls who were hospitalised have managed to pull through and are physically on the road to recovery, but I imagine it will take some time for the dust to settle mentally.
Among those 2 girls were the sisters of two friends who I'm really close with. I was lucky enough to see the girls again last week and catch up with their parents who have been truly blown away by the levels of service provided to them by the Doctors and Nurses at Alder Hey Childrens Hospital
in Liverpool where the victims were taken following the ordeal. We will be hosting and planning a game of Rounders on Thurs, Sept 19th to help raise funds for for Alder Hey Children's Hospital.
