I’m stoked to share I'm teaming up with Team Fox in NYC to raise critical funds for Parkinson’s disease (PD) research by sharing my story and running the NYC marathon!

More than 6 million people worldwide are living with Parkinson’s — which directly impacted my life by altering the quality of life of my late Grandfather. My Grandfather, Fred Eckhardt or "Bubba", was a legend and my north star when reflecting on the male role models in my life! He was a WWII Veteran, a NYFD Chaplain, a Minister, a caring Husband, an amazing Father to 5, and a world-class Grandfather. I'm running the NYC marathon for him, his legacy, my family, and to do a small part in the battle against Parkinson's disease.Whether it's my Grandfather's time as a New York City Fire Department Chaplin, my Mom's years of service on the New York City Police Force, or the food delivery bicyclist that ran into my older brother and knocked the wind out of him years ago on the streets of NYC - It's time for the Eckhardt's to take on the NYC Marathon once again!Thank you for the support as well as the time to read my story! Team Fox is the grassroots community fundraising program at The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (MJFF). MJFF accelerates critical scientific research through smart risk-taking and problem-solving with a commitment to urgency and efficiency. 100 percent of Team Fox proceeds go straight to MJFF’s high-impact programmatic efforts.
