Federal cuts to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) are threatening the food security of approximately 2 million Illinois residents.Nearly half of those families, 48%, live in Cook County.

Our local food bank, the Greater Chicago Food Depository, is preparing for a surge in need this holiday season as benefits shrink and household budgets are stretched thinner than ever.

Here is how you can help:

• Your donation will directly support the Greater Chicago Food Depository in providing fresh, nutritious food to families in our community who are facing increased hardship. 
• I have set a goal to raise $12,500 through the generous contributions of friends, family members, team members, and community organizations.
