SRLC's mission is to bring joy to the lives of underserved sections of the society, and tackle the root causes of poverty that include lack of healthcare, education and humanitarian relief (like during COVID).
The education scenario in tribal region of South Gujarat, India is such that many villages remain deprived of good education. Tribals are recognized as one of the most marginalized groups and provision for their educational development in the area are scarce. An innovative and integrated educational approach to maximize their potential is most important for helping them escape the vicious cycle of ignorance and poverty.
To meet this challenge, SRLC started Shrimad Rajchandra Gurukul, a progressive high school that serves the economically deprived students, offering them the right infrastructure and environment to parent them into becoming constructive members of society. The core values that we seek to empower our students with are integrity, perseverance and empathy. While we work systematically towards improving the academic core of the students, giving them a platform to pursue higher education, we also pay keen attention to skill development and other activities and programs to ensure holistic development. Today, the SRG houses 370 students from over 90 villages! Several students from SRG have pursued higher education in various fields such as Science, Engineering, Medicine, Nursing etc., thereby making their alma mater proud!
