June Thirsty Thursday
Chicago Office Thirsty Thursday hosted by Social Impact
About this Giving Opportunity
This month, we are raising funds for Gerber/Hart Library and Archives, World Relief, and Mercy Home for Boys and Girls.
At World Relief Chicagoland, we come alongside refugees and other immigrants in vulnerable situations as they rebuild their lives in the United States. For over 40 years, we’ve been welcoming immigrants and refugees across Chicagoland, starting with refugee resettlement in Chicago and DuPage County (1979), and later in Aurora (1999).
Mercy Home has served kids in crisis in Chicago since 1887. From our humble beginnings as a shelter for homeless boys, Mercy Home has developed into a holistic home that addresses not only the basic needs of our young men and women, but also their therapeutic, behavioral, and academic needs. At our West Loop Campus and our Walsh Girls Campus in Beverly, we provide overarching support to help our young people heal and grow in all aspects of their lives.
Gerber/Hart Library and Archives was founded in 1981 on the belief that that knowledge is key to dispelling homophobia and the marginalization of sexual and gender minorities.Gerber/Hart collects, preserves, and make accessible items related to LGBTQ history and culture. Gerber/Hart is dedicated to meeting the information needs of its patrons in a safe atmosphere that promotes research, exploration, and discovery
