Thousands of Greyhounds are bred each year for the racing industry — especially in Ireland. Many are discarded, neglected, or killed when they’re no longer fast enough to profit from. Most never live past five years.
Shockingly, Greyhounds in Ireland are legally classified as farm animals, not pets. This loophole allows widespread overbreeding, poor oversight, and neglect — all while the industry receives millions in public subsidies.
But we can change that.
We’re a non-profit based in Austria, working to rescue ex-racing Greyhounds from Ireland and find them loving homes. These gentle, affectionate dogs are unknown to many in Austria — and we’re here to change that too.
